You guys. Ever since I got pregnant I was so eager and ready to start nesting and putting together my baby boys nursery!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get to doing that as soon as I wanted because this bedroom was currently being used as mine and my husband’s office/storage space while we worked on renovating our garage and turning that into an office/gym space. Once that was completed a few weeks ago, and everything moved in there, we got to start the whole set up of our baby boy’s nursery. 🙂
This room makes me so happy. It makes having a baby all that more real and makes me happily anticipate the arrival of our first child.
God is good. God is faithful.

What a BLESSING to experience my own baby shower for my first baby. Wow.
People’s generosity BLOWS me away… but what also blew me away was the friendships and support of all the people I hold dear. My Mom and sister’s hosted my shower at my Mother-in-Law’s home and it was just the sweetest, cutest, best time ever. <3
I’m 38 weeks and baby boy is getting closer and closer to arriving! I’m hoping to do a nursery blog post soon. It has a “woodland” vibe — and that’s what my shower decor was, as well. Utterly ADORABLE.
Here are some pictures from the evening. 🙂
I didn’t take a lot of pictures because I was having too much fun! But hopefully this helped you get a glimpse into that night. It was such a SWEET time with friends and family and I’m so excited to have this baby boy!!

Brad and I planned a baby-moon trip to Florida in May and it was such a great decision! What wasn’t a great decision? Driving the entire way from Kansas to Florida…while 33/34 weeks pregnant. 😉 It honestly wasn’t as bad as it sounds and we got some wonderful quality time in!
We made plans to visit some of Brad’s side of the family in Georgia before Florida, and that was a lot of fun. They showed us around town, took us on a golf cart drive adventure, and then we ended the evening at the most amazing and adorable restaurant “The Curious Pig” where I enjoyed THE MOST incredible food ever.
Florida was surprisingly rainy/cloudy/and cool temps! But we still got to enjoy amazing beach days during our stay. Oh, and most importantly, I got to watch Die Hard for the first time and now understand why it’s referred to as a Christmas movie. 😉 And I have to say…I would totally agree. 😉
Here’s some photos from our adventures!

I love seeing how God works to bring people together — especially soul mates.
Josh is from England and Victoria is from Kansas City. Two places that are VERY far from each other. 😉
But by “coincidence” (or rather, God’s sovereignty), Josh met Victoria’s dad, Jeff, at a conference where Jeff found out that Josh was going to be moving to Kansas City for work. Because of that connection, Jeff invited Josh to attend their church and help him get connected with people. Josh had heard that Jeff had some beautiful daughters and once he laid eyes on Victoria, he couldn’t have agreed more. He was quite smitten with the woman he thought of as such a “pretty lass” (in his own words) and almost instantly fell in love with who she was. Victoria, on the other hand, wasn’t all that into him at first, and had her doubts. But in time, as they got to know each other, Victoria fell strongly in love with the man that was everything she had ever dreamed to be with and hope to marry.
The two tied the knot on Saturday, June 5th, 2021 at Mission Road Bible Church in Kansas City.
That’s definitely the short version of their beautiful story, but needless to say, God’s hand was/is so evident in their relationship from the beginning.
I adore this couple and the time I got to spend with them on their wedding day! I am beyond thankful that the Lord allowed me to shoot their wedding day being 37 weeks pregnant — what a gift and blessing (and hard work haha)!! It was worth the major cankles at the end of the evening. 😉 Special shout out to my personal assistant, Alex, who came to be with me the first half of the wedding day to hold my gear and keep me snacked up and hydrated, and to my husband who came through for me for the second half of the day!!
Here are some images to tell the story of their beautiful wedding day, surrounded by friends & family. Unfortunately, Josh’s family wasn’t able to attend their wedding because of Covid restrictions with travel, but they were still very much present on the hearts and minds of the couple and their family.

We have had a lot of things we have been working on this spring! I plan to share a couple of more that aren’t included in this blog post, but until then: here are some fun things we have been up to!

Life feels full right now.
I’m loving life with my hubs. Planning, dreaming and working on the dreams we have & enjoying and doing the simple things, too.
I’m so excited about being in my 3rd trimester & before I know it, I’ll be holding my baby boy. Oh…and the nesting bug has hit me hard at 28 weeks. 😉
I’m so thankful for the church God has led us to for the past several months and the relationships we are building there.
I’m so thankful for the love of family and friends that we want to invest in and that want to invest in us.
I’m thankful for my little home that we have already made so many fond memories in.
God gives us good gifts not because of who we are but because of who HE is. He is good. His steadfast love endures forever (Psalm 136).
Here are some pictures to share just GLIMPSES of a few things that have brought me joy this spring.

I have always dreamed of photographing someone in a crazy amount of flowers. I just never thought it would be possible…I’d have to find a florist willing to create something dreamy, they’d have to be willing to spend their time setting it up, etc. There would be so much involved and who knows how much it would cost.
Well, a few months ago my dreams became a reality. The florist I work for as their photographer/videographer said they needed me for a styled shoot for promo/updated website photos. It was to take place at The Abbott Event Space and there were going to be three models to work with. My jaw was literally on the floor as Jenni with Wild Hill Flowers and her team of ladies set up the space with just gobs and gobs of flowers, then seeing all the ladies come out in beautiful wedding gowns, hair and makeup. I was lost in the beauty of it all and the best part was being able to just do my thing, work with the models, and get beautiful images.
Here’s some gems I’m proud of from that day.

In November I did a couple of days of Christmas minis (which I’ve never done) and it was SO much fun! I hope to do so again this winter!

This beautiful 2020 fall wedding took place on a cloudy, brisk day in the country at Schwinn Produce Farm in Leavenworth Kansas. I love fall weddings in the country and Hannah + Ryan’s day is one I won’t forget.
